Last weekend a Cessna took off from Genk Airport, taking aloft the lucky beneficiary of the Data Translations “Feel the sky” contest. We wish to acknowledge the generosity of the winning company, which chose to donate its prize to the Make-A-Wish foundation, thereby allowing a 13-year-old girl to live out one of her dreams.
For more than one and a half hours the plane flew over the city of Genk, the Bobbejaanland amusement park and the port facilities in Antwerp, all to the great delight of the young lady and her family, who got a first-hand chance to see the world from up above.
This was a fantastic epilogue to this summer’s contest.
Many thanks to our IT partner, Fintan, which organised the flight, and to all the companies that took part.
